Megan McGonnell
Megan McGonnellDirector/Social worker
Megan is the founder of The Recovery First Housing Project. Megan Graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. She has personally experienced the impact of addiction through generations in her family and was one of the first to break the intergeneration cycle. Through her years of experience personally and professionally she gained invaluable insight into what tools can support those on their recovery journey. Megan is passionate about the young people impacted by parental addiction ‘if the parent’s recover the children recover’. She believes children are at the heart of this crisis and we must provide caring empathetic environments to the adults to then empower them to make the changes needed which can change the trajectory of their children’s lives.
Grant Selby
Grant Selby Director
Grant is a founder of the Recovery First Housing Project. Grant has many years of lived experience alongside professional skills. Over several years Grant has worked closely with families in the midst of addiction and supported them finding the right treatment paths. Grants passion is supported housing. He believes this is where the recovery journey truly begins. Grant was once a successful young trader in London when addiction took everything from him. After losing his job, home, wife and children he turned to abstinence-based recovery for help. While living in a supported housing service he began to turn his life around. Grant biggest achievement is hearing his children call him their best friend. Grants wishes are to give back what he was once given and support families through this process.
