Who are we?

We offer specialist supported housing for people who are recovering from substance abuse. We support access to a recovery community to give you the best chance at long-term recovery. A thorough assessment of your needs will take place and care plans will be built around developing and improving your outcomes.

Our Approach

We understand that addiction can be devastating to the individual, families, and society. Addiction can often be an isolating experience and recovery is not always straight forward. We work with an ethos of connection, empathy, and unconditional positive regard.

We believe in empowering people to develop their own self-awareness and self-care to gain greater control over their decisions and lives. We work collaboratively and in partnership with you and other agencies to improve your future. We believe there is not a one size fits all solution to addiction so aim to deliver bespoke packages of care.ent Goes Here

Overview

You will have a key worker assigned who will support you emotionally and practically through this process. Through direct work and key work sessions, we can address finances, social inclusion, education, employment, relationship work, managing emotions, boundaries, appropriate behaviour, and relapse prevention. We have an in-house roster of activities and will support you accessing other therapeutic activities with our local trusted providers. We offer a voluntary counselling service for more in-depth therapeutic support.

Our homes are a safe space for people in recovery. By creating opportunities in a supportive environment, you can learn to live life without resorting to substances as a means to cope.

Our work is underpinned by evidence-based practice and delivered to you by trained professionals. We work in a very person-centred; solution-focused whole systems approach.

Our Outcomes

Provide a safe environment, enhance quality of life, support long-term recovery, reduce the need for further support, deliver positive experiences of care and support, safeguard from avoidable harm, reduce the difference in life expectancy, promote harm reduction across all areas.

The Aim

Recovery First Housing CIC aims to give you all the opportunities and tools you need to move on from our service into independent living and become a fully self-supporting member of the community.

Social Impact Policy

Recovery First Housing CIC is registered as a Community Interest Company and as a consequence of our daily activities, our ethos is completely underpinned by the desire to re-invest, in some form, back into the community which we serve.

Within the fabric of this policy, on a yearly basis, all directors will implement effective strategies, mainly by the activation of financial donations to closely linked charities of which they assess will directly have a beneficial, positive social return for all the communities we operate within.

Our past residents

See what some of our previous residents had to say about our team and the services we provided.

It’s been an incredible experience for me here. From day one, when I was a fearful, timid man, to now, where I have been learning how to alter my life, I have come a long way. I’ve grown as a person as a result of my work with Recovery First Housing. I’m confident in myself and I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time.

Jonathan, Our past resident

Without a doubt, the most crucial two years of my life has been so much easier with the help of Recovery First Housing CIC. The practitioners and support staff have all been outstanding. I had no idea empathy and understanding could be at such a high level, especially from strangers. They’ve gone from being my guides, to my friends.

Marcus, Our past resident

I went in with no idea what to anticipate, no idea who I’d be with, and no idea where I’d be heading. What I discovered was a network of people who shared the same condition as me – addiction. We learned together, became friends together, and discovered ourselves during our time together, all the while being helped by Recovery First Housing CIC and their programme.

Amy, Our past resident

Contacting Recovery First Housing CIC may have saved both my life and my marriage. I’ll be eternally grateful for the tools and knowledge they’ve given me to help me get on top of my addictions.
